The Pyongyang Paradox

When Chris Westphal flunked his interview with the CIA, it strengthened his conviction that he was better suited to writing comedy than to espionage. Since then, he has gone on to write for the hit comedy series Murphy Brown and Baby Talk.
Westphal is the author of "The Chronicles of Huttle," a four-book series of comedic novels featuring the hapless Tom Huttle. In the most recent book in the series, "The Pyongyang Paradox," Huttle switches places with his fictional creation, Buck Samson, a super spy on a mission to save the world from a dastardly plot.
Westphal's latest novel is Deadlines, a noir thriller based in the Pacific Northwest and featuring Jack Teller, editor of a failing twice-weekly newspaper in fictional Empire City.
Besides novels, Westphal is the author of "A Family Year Abroad," and the ghost writer for a number of other non-fiction books. His essays and travel writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, San Jose Mercury News, and Ventura Star, Sailing Magazine, and in numerous online publications.
